Our CCE-accredited pharmacists compound the medication your provider prescribes — in the dose, form, and combination that fit your body, your labs, and your life. Led by Steve Hoffart, PharmD, named PCCA's Pharmacist of the Year, the Magnolia team works alongside you and your provider, not in place of them.

Magnolia is a compounding pharmacy. When a manufactured medication doesn't fit — the dose is wrong, the form is hard to take, or you need a combination that isn't made commercially — our pharmacists prepare your prescription from the active ingredients up, in the exact formulation your provider prescribes.
We focus on the areas where personalized compounding makes the biggest difference:
hormone therapy compounded to your labs, symptoms, and body, as prescribed by your provider.
Learn moretestosterone and hormone support compounded to your provider's protocol.
Learn morecompounded in the low, precise doses your provider prescribes, when LDN is part of your provider's treatment plan.
Learn morecustom T3/T4 formulations compounded to the ratio and strength your provider specifies, for patients whose thyroid symptoms aren't resolved by commercial options.
Learn moreMagnolia Pharmacy has been compounding for the Houston metro since 2002 — long enough that many of our patients have been with us for a decade or more, and long enough that local providers know they can send us a prescription and reach a pharmacist who can speak to it.
Our work is led by Steve Hoffart, PharmD — named the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA) Compounding Pharmacist of the Year in 2022. As "The Trusted Pharmacist," Steve has also become a voice many people follow for plain-language health answers.
Behind every formulation is a CCE-accredited pharmacy and the model we've built our practice on — the patient-physician-pharmacist triad:

compound your formulation to that prescription and counsel you on how to use it.
tell us and your provider how you're responding — and because the three of us are already connected, a dose adjustment moves faster.
Direct answers to the questions patients and providers ask most often.
A compounding pharmacy prepares customized medications for an individual patient based on a prescription from a licensed healthcare provider. At Magnolia, our CCE-accredited team compounds 503A patient-specific formulations — adjusting strength, changing the dosage form, or removing an allergen — when a commercially manufactured product doesn't fit a patient's needs.
BHRT uses hormones that are structurally identical to those your body produces, compounded to a dose prescribed by your healthcare provider. Many patients in the Houston area explore BHRT for symptoms associated with hormone changes — such as fatigue, low energy, sleep changes, or mood shifts. Research suggests individualized hormone support may help some patients; your provider determines whether it's right for you.
It starts with your provider. Compounded medications are prepared based on a prescription from a licensed healthcare provider — your provider sends the prescription to us, we compound your formulation, and you pick up at our Magnolia, TX pharmacy or we ship it to you.
Low Dose Naltrexone is a compounded medication prepared at very low doses, as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Because it's patient-specific, your provider determines whether LDN is appropriate for you and sets the dose — and we compound it to that prescription.
Yes. We compound customized thyroid formulations — including specific T3/T4 ratios or preservative-free options — as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Compounding can help when a patient doesn't tolerate a commercial thyroid product or needs a strength that isn't commercially available.
Coverage varies, and many compounded medications are paid out of pocket because they're customized rather than commercially manufactured. Our team can review your specific prescription and give you transparent pricing before you fill — and we'll tell you when a commercial product may be the more affordable option, so there are no surprises.
Providers can partner with us through our provider partnership page, where you can request an account and connect with our team. As a CCE-accredited 503A compounding pharmacy, we support prescribers with patient-specific formulations, responsive communication, and a collaborative patient-physician-pharmacist model.
